I have always thought hashtags are a great resource for insights. Hashtags are key words used to collect ideas on a certain topic. Their necessity appeared organically along with social media platforms that allowed an overflow of information that needed to be organized. Besides their functional role, they are useful for mining the social habits and beliefs among online users.
